  • Susan Griffin is a poet, essayist, playwright and screenwriter. Her groundbreaking book, Woman and Nature, the classic work that inspired eco-feminism, was published in a new edition by Sierra Club Books in 2000. A Chorus of Stones, the Private Life of War; was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics award, and a winner of the BABRA award in 1992.

Far from each other, the women talk about their lives and hear the voices of other women talking about theirs. Griffin’s play, commissioned by the project, was later adapted for stage and an award winning television version. It was translated into German and broadcast by WDR Köln.
