MONOLOGUE FOR RUTH DRAPER
by Henry James
Performed by: Holly Barron
Directed by: Erik Bauersfeld
Miss Draper was a close friend of Henry James who admired her work on the stage so greatly that he composed a monologue for her. She never performed his gift because her little Dramas were always her own inventions. A local James scholar suggested we take the chance of hearing one of James’s many unheard writings for the stage.
