The Outsider
by H. P. Lovecraft
Adapted and Performed by: Erik Bauersfeld
Technical Production: John Whiting
He grew up in an underground castle among the remains of his mother’s half eaten bones. Later he finds a way to climb up to the surface of the world and face an image of himself… a monstrous horror that had come before its time. Lovecraft adds that the story has a “cynicism tempered with immeasurable pity for man’s eternal tragedy of aspirations beyond the possibility of fulfillment.”
