SANTA CRUZ, CA

July was a busy month for Earwax in Santa Cruz, CA with four events all happening within weeks of each other. Rachel Strickland’s “For the Birds” was presented as part of a project pairing artists with scientists at the USGS Marine Lab. Jeremiah Moore helped mix Robert Talbot’s extraordinary film “One Breath” for the newly erected Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The Kitchens Sisters and Laura Karpman presented a multimedia extravaganza with excerpts from their Hidden World of Girls with Leslie Ann Jones and Dann Michael Thompson at the Cabrillo Festival, and Lou Harrison; A World of Music had it’s first screening with a new 5.1 mix provided by Chris Jenkins, Frank Montaña and Bill Meadows at Universal Studios, Universal City, CA
